Bianca Bear originated from Joanne Grana's writings for a preschool teacher to read to her students at story time. After one of the students asked for a copy of the book of Bianca stories, Joanne decided to publish these stories in honor of her mother.

Joanne was the first severely disabled student to receive a master’s in social work from the George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in St. Louis. She then worked for St. Louis Community College Meramec for 20 years. You can find more Bianca stories at http://busyworldofbiancabear.blogspot.com.

This children's book revolves around the wonderfully imaginative world of a very special pink bear cub named Bianca, her family and friends. It tells the story of the adventures of Bianca Bear and the lessons she learns along the way. From the forest wedding of her mama and papa to Bianca’s trip to Paris, Bianca has many magical adventures. She shares her vivacious outlook on life with all who surround her and wants to share it with you!
